On the morning of May 30th, Professor Michael Bowyer, the Executive Dean of the Central Coast Campus of The University of Newcastle, Australia, along with Professor Clovia Holdsworth, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental and Life Sciences visited SCAU. The Vice President of SCAU Xian Chunlong received the delegation and held discussions.
Xian Chunlong warmly welcomed the visit of the delegation and expressed his sincere gratitude for the enthusiastic reception of SCAU delegation to Australia in December last year. He reviewed the long-standing exchanges and cooperation between the two universities and introduced the talent cultivation, discipline construction, and international exchange of SCAU. He said that the two universities are long-term partners with a solid foundation for cooperation and broad prospects. He hoped that in the future, both sides would further expand cooperation in the fields of food science, life sciences, marine science, and environmental science, continuously improving the level and quality of exchanges.
Dean Michael Bowyer thanked SCAU for the warm reception and introduced the situation of The University of Newcastle. He expressed the desire to further expand the field of cooperation with SCAU. Professor Clovia Holdsworth introduced the professional settings, disciplinary characteristics, and project situation of the Faculty of Environmental and Life Sciences. She said that The University of Newcastle attaches great importance to the partnership with SCAU and hoped that the two universities would strengthen academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation, and talent cultivation in the field of food science.

Book Donation Ceremony
Before the meeting, the delegation attended the book donation ceremony of the 115th anniversary celebration series. Professor Clovia Holdsworth, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental and Life Sciences at The University of Newcastle, donated the Ocean Pools photo album to Guangdong SCAU Assets Management Co., Ltd.
During the visit, the delegation also visited the College of Food Science, Guangzhou Dublin International Life Science and Technology Institute, and the South China Agricultural Museum, conducting in-depth exchanges on subsequent cooperation between the two universities.
