A delegation from the Panamanian embassy and consulate in China visited SCAU
May 26, Yamileth Ye Li, the Consul General of Panama in Guangzhou, and Jonathan Nunez, the Commercial Counselor of the Panamanian Embassy in China, visited SCAU for the cooperation in industry, education and research. Prof. Luo Xiwen, one of the academicians of CAE, and the head of Office of International Relations received the guests.

At the meeting, Office of International Relations introduced the history, characteristics, international exchange work of SCAU, the development of CLAERIA, and the cooperation with Panama, etc., and expressed the hope that SCAU will further strengthen the relationship with Panamanian counterparts in the field of agriculture.
Yamileth Ye Li fully affirmed the achievements of SCAU in the fields of personnel training, scientific research, and international exchanges and cooperation, and expressed her support to CLAERIA, and promote the bilateral practical cooperation.
Jonathan said that increasing the proportion of agricultural GDP and improving agricultural modernization are important development goals of Panama. With the continuous deepening of China-Panama friendship, it is expected that further cooperation and exchanges in the fields of agricultural mechanization engineering, food safety, and rice cultivation be achieved.
Accompanied by Prof. Luo Xiwen, the delegation visited the Rice Mechanization Museum and accquired the knowledge about related technologies. The two sides held a discussion on agricultural machinery cooperation, and reached a preliminary consensus.
