On June 8, 2023, Mr. Søren Bindesbøll, Consul General of Denmark in Guangzhou, and his colleagues visited SCAU. Vice President Qiu Rongliang warmly received the guests. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on cooperation in agriculture, especially animal husbandry.

Mr.Qiu extended a warm welcome to Mr. Søren Bindesbøll's visit. He pointed out that Denmark's agricultural science and technology ranks highly among the world, especially the production and processing of agricultural products, and the food industry are competitive in the international market. Sino-Danish agricultural cooperation is highly complementary with commonness. SCAU is willing to enhance understanding with more Danish counterparts, and promote practical exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in  agriculture-related fields on the basis of complementary advantages and mutual benefits.

Mr. Søren Bindesbøll introduced the characteristics and advantages of Denmark in the fields of pig farming and food. He said that SCAU has a long history and strong strength, adding the background of deepening agricultural cooperation and exchanges between China and Denmark, the two sides will promote mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of pig breeding, food nutrition and safety, and utilization of kitchen waste resources to develop the bilateral agricultural trade.  

Office of International Relations introduced the general situation of SCAU, while College of Animal Science elaborated on specific personnel training, industry-university-research cooperation, etc. The two sides agreed upon the future exchanges and cooperation around agricultural science and education.
