With an aim to enhance the educational cooperation among the universities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, SCAU actively innovated the model of joint education and signed the Agreement on 1+2+1 Undergraduate Dual Degree with Macau University of Science and Technology in July 2020. The Agreement will be submitted to the Ministry of Education for approval, and we expect formal enrollment of students in the fall of 2021.
The program will begin with Food Science and Engineering and Culinary Art majors. Students who meet the graduation requirements will be awarded B.E. Degree in Food Science and Engineering from South China Agricultural University and Bachelor of Food and Beverage Management Degree from Macau University of Science and Technology.
SCAU has been placing emphasis on promoting the exchanges and cooperation with well-known universities in Hong Kong and Macau. In November 2019, the two universities signed a comprehensive MOU under the witness of Guangdong Governor Ma Xingrui. After rounds of negotiation, the Agreement is finally signed, which will facilitate the establishment of the cooperative mechanization for talent cultivation between the two universities.
