According to the latest datas released by ESI on March 12, 2020, 8 disciplines of South China Agricultural University(SCAU) remained global top 1%. The 8 disciplines include Plant and Animal Science, Chemistry, Agricultural Sciences, Materials Science, Microbiology, Biology and Biochemistry, Environment/Ecology, and Engineering. The ranking of these 8 disciplines continued to rise. Plant and Animal Science remained the top 1.5‰ in the world.

SCAU ranked No. 1292 in the world. It ranked 87th among domestic universities. The ranking keeps rising.
