SCAU is selected as one of the 7 Cultivated High-Quality Universities of Guangdong Province, according to the provincial education authorities on July 2, 2015. The allocation for 2015, a total of 330.18 million, has been in place. Amongst, the Provincial Fund for High-Quality Universities Construction totals 230 million, and every regular student of SCAU can enjoy an increase of 2000 yuan for educational funding allotted by the provincial fiscal budget.

    HU Chunhua, Secretary of the Provincial CPC Committee, stressed on a conference that Guangdong will strive to bring up, in a period of 5 to 10 years, a list of high-quality and influential universities, together with a number of distinctive key disciplines that are nationally (or even globally) competitive. A strict evaluation lasting over two months approved 7 universities and 18 disciplines & projects.

    It’s reported that the provincial government will allocate a total of 5 billion in 3 years to build high-quality universities that enjoy an annual provincial allocation of 12,000 yuan for every regular student.
