Recently, a delegation of 6 from Latin American countries in Guangzhou Consular Corps paid a courtesy visit to SCAU, including Ms. Isabel Pérez, Consul General of Cuba in Guangzhou , Mr.David Gamarra Silva, Consul General of Peruin Guangzhou , and Mr.Carlos Giralt, Consul General of Mexico in Guangzhou.The director and deputy director of International Office greeted them with a warm welcome.

    The Director reviewed the previous cooperation with the three countries and briefed the delegation on thestrong disciplines, departments and colleges, as well as the international cooperation of SCAU. It was hoped thatin Latin American universities and SCAU would enhance mutual cooperation through the visit, and SCAU would be delighted to welcome delegations of agriculture and forestry universities from Latin America on campus. Moreover, the Director suggested thatwe could start from student exchange programs and exchange of experts to explore areas of mutual interest for future cooperation. 

    Consuls General expressed interest in cooperation with SCAU in fields of like agriculture and animal breeding, and they are willing toserve as the bridge between SCAU and the universities in Latin Americaso as to strengthen the cooperation and exchange. The two sides agreed on the next step of cooperation, and would follow up afterwards. 

    After the meeting, the delegation had a touron campus and paid a visit to the Museum of University History, accompanied by the officers of the International Office.
