Mr. Gordon Brown, the representative of International Department of Queen's University Belfast, visited SCAU on March 14th to promotethe cooperation between the two universities.
Student and staff exchange between SCAU and Queen's University Belfast started since 1984, for which a deep friendship and firm cooperation had been long established.
In the meeting, SCAU expressed the willingness of strengthening the collaboration in food science and engineering, and food quality and security. Thiscan be achieved bymore frequent communications in academic and scientific research to explore a boarder and more flexible mode of collaboration.
Mr. Gordon Brown introduced the courses and scientific research in Queen's University Belfast, and highlighted the Master Programs in advanced Food Security, Parasitology and Pathogen Biology, and Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. He wished the two universities can achieve collaborations inrelated fields.
The agenda of the meeting also includes discussions in academic research,faculty visits, student exchange and the construction of International Joint Laboratory. Both parties will follow up the relevant details after the meeting.
The attendants of the meeting include Liu Wenfei, the manager of Meiyu Education Group.Others include LiuZhengrong, Deputy Director of Office of International Relations, and the concerning stafffrom College of International Educationand College of Food Science.
