On the afternoon of 15th January, Professor Bernard Dell, Director of the Institute for Sustainable Ecological System, and Professor Ian Robertson and Ms. Cai Chang from Veterinary College, Murdoch University visited SCAU.

    During the visit, Mr. Feng Lixin, Director of Office of International Relations, Ms. Liu Zhengrong, Deputy Director of Office of International Relations, Professor Tang Zhaoxin, Associate Dean of College of Veterinary Medicine and Mr.Cao Weisheng, Associate Professor had a talk with the guests at the meeting room on the eighth floor in the Administration Building.

    Director Feng Lixin, , extended a warm welcome to the delegation and he introduced the long history of the development process, discipline construction, teachers and students as well as the students exchange programs to the guests. He said SCAU was a comprehensive university, and the discipline scope was complete, covering agriculture, industry, arts, sciences, economics, management etc. He hoped that through the delegation's visit, both sides could increase mutual understanding and build friendship, as to lay a good foundation for the cooperation between the two universities in the future.

    Professor Bernard Dell expressed his thanks for the warm reception of SCAU. He introduced educational philosophy ofMurdochUniversity, discipline structure, scientific research advantage and the purpose of this visit. He said that the history ofMurdochUniversitywas not long, but developed very fast in some areas. It had strong advantages especially in agricultural areas and he hoped to promote communications between the universities and enhance mutual understanding through the visit. Then the two sides have a warm discussion in details on joint training graduate students and educational-exchange cooperation and building platform of scientific research cooperation. Both sides said they would actively promote exchanges and cooperation in relevant fields.
