Recently a group led by Mr. Andrew Walker, the Executive Director, from British ADAS Company paid a visit to SCAU and Ms. Liu Zhengrong, Deputy Director of Office of International Relations extended a warm welcome to the guests.

    She introduced the basic information, historical evolution, teachers and students, scientific research construction as well as the cooperation and exchange with British institutions of higher education in recent years.

    Mr. Andrew Walker expressed his thanks for the warm reception of SCAU, and he introduced ADAS company in details. Since the company was set up over 60 years ago, it has been the largest independent supplier for the agricultural development and environmental protection consultation in UK, and has been in a leading position in the field of agricultural production. This company focused on agricultural environmental problems such as soil, water, animal husbandry, gardening and ect, providing the corresponding analysis and solution.

    At present the company has involved in the catalytic project of a transnational production project of a Chinese company, jointly designed by British Lancaster University and Science and Technology Department of Guangdong Province. Through commercialization and joint research and development, it has pushed the cooperation between Chinese and British companies and improved the creation abilities. ADAS company plans to carry out environmental protection program cooperated with Asian universities and research institutions.

    Mr. Andrew Walker said that they had a deeper understanding of SCAU through this visit, and he hoped to cooperate and communicate with SCAU on plant spaceflight breeding, agricultural environmental science and soil science.
