SCAU becomes a member of Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macau University Alliance, news from the founding ceremony held on On November 15, at Sun Yat-sen University.
Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macau University Alliance is proposed by Sun Yat-sen University and co-established with Chinese University of Hong Kong and University of Macau. The first groups of members include 26 universities from the three regions (see attached a full list).The alliance works to facilitate exchanges, pool educational and research resources, and foster collaborative programs at a higher level, such as an One-Hour Academic Circle, part of its efforts to press ahead the whole region into knowledge-oriented economy era.
The alliance provides fresh new opportunities for SCAU. Our President CHEN Xiaoyang, stressed in his congratulations, that the alliance aggregates resources to sparkle new ideas, crucial to bring about collaborative programs based on shared strengths.
What's the next step to formulate substantive partnerships?
The alliance, as proposed by President of Sun Yat-sen University, will activate internal working mechanisms, define key areas of scientific breakthroughs, facilitate student and staff exchanges, and most importantly, share significant innovations of key labs and platforms.
