Xian Chunlong, native of Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, was borned in April 1965. He took his first job in the next year. He is now Professor, Supervisor for Master candidates and Vice President at South China Agricultural University.
He graduated from Nanjing Agricultural University with a Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Economics and Management in 1985 and from South China Agricultural University with a Master Degree in 1988. He has been working for the university since then. Xian was promoted to be Professor in 2006. From 2002 to 2003, he participated in the training courses for high-level management personnel organized by Guangdong province and studied at universities like University of Sydney and some other government organs in Australia for a year. Xian served as Director of Teaching and Researching Office of Agricultural Economics, Associate Dean of College of Economics and Trade, Dean of College of Pearl River, Director of Auditing Department and Director of Financial Department at SCAU. Since 2011 he has been Vice President of South China Agricultural University.
Xian's research interests focus on economic development theory and policy, land resources management and taxation. He has hosted or participated in 9 research programs at national and provincial levels, and has published 28 papers and 13 monographs.
In addition, he was once awarded the First Prize for the Best Paper by Economic Forum and he won the Second Prize for the Outstanding Paper by Agriculture and Economics Association of Guangdong Province.
Currently he also holds posts as President of Educational Accounting Association of Guangdong Province, Vice President of Enterprise Financial Management Association of Guangdong Province, Vice President of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Information Institute of Guangdong Province and so on.
