On September 8, 2007, SCAU holds a new term ceremony for 8594 freshmen of grade 2007. President Chen Xiaoyang, Vice CPC secretary Hu. Haomin and Li Jianjun, Vice President Wang Hao, Chen Zhiqiang, Wen Simei, Lu Huazhong and some other teachers attend the ceremony.

President Chen Xiaoyang (above photograph)  firstly delivers a speech. He expresses warm congratulations and welcome to the freshmen from all corners of the country. He brings forward three wishes: 1. Be grateful to others. 2. Be kind to others. 3. Be careful and serious in research and learning.

Teachers’ representative Prof. Xu Zaifu from College of Natural Resources and Environment expressed his sincere congratulations to the freshmen. He also proposes three wishes and requirements: 1. Adjust oneself as soon as possible to adapt to the new environment. 2. Set a higher goal in learning and be of good virtue as well as profound knowledge. 3. One cannot be independent without the support from society, the love from relative, the educare from teachers, the help from friends, so we should return what we get to the society.

Freshmen’s representative Wang Rui and parents’s representative Mr. Zhao Shupei address separately to the ceremony. They believe the freshmen will study hard and contribute not only to SCAU, but also to the society, to the country.
