On the morning of November 24, the opening ceremony of “The 49th SCAU Sports Meeting” was held on the playground of HuaShan. Xing Miao -- Secretary of CPC of SCAU, Chen Xiaoyang--President of SCAU, and other leaders of SCAU, Hu Haoming, Li Jianjun, Li Dasheng,Chen Zhiqiang, Lu Huazhong attended the ceremony.

 Xing Miao -- Secretary of CPC of SCAU announced the opening ceremony. The ceremony began with 24 parades of athletics team, and representative teams from the attending faculties. The neatly dressed team members marched in step to display their energy. Each team gave a special performance in front of the rostrum, showing off their distinguishing characteristics.

 The spectacular performances at the end brought the ceremony to the climax. The beauty exercise team led the audience into a world of passion and youthful spirit by dancing to the lively rhythm. With the team of gong and drum from College of Forestry, the team of traditional dance from College of Food showed the audiences a perfect combination of beauty and strength.

During the ceremony, Vice-president Li Dasheng gave a speech, encouraging the athletes to foster the Olympic spirit "Swifter, Higher, Stronger" to obtain the best result. 

 The sports meeting began right after the ceremony. All the athletes tried to give their best performances after weeks of preparation.
