Training Course on Bio-fertilizer for Developing Countries Ended

The closing ceremony for the 2006 Training Course on Bio-fertilizer Technology Application for Developing Countries was held at SCAU on the morning of December 20. 46 participants from 32 countries have completed their training study successfully.

 

Prof. Yu Rangcai, director of Office of International Relations chaired the closing ceremony and delivered a summary report on one-month training work. He expressed his respect for the teaching staff of this training course and spoke highly of all the students.

  

President Chen Xiaoyang is also present in the closing ceremony and gives a wonderful speech. He first extended his sincere congratulations to all the participants on their successful completion of study at SCAU and their better understanding of China. He was gratified and touched to know the quality performance they showed. He said that this training course stands out among all the sessions in the past.

 

Prof. Liao Zongwen and Amarasinghe, one participant from Sri Lanka, presented their own speech in the ceremony, which won much applause. Afterwards, President Chen conferred the certificates to the students and awards to the outstanding students.

   

This training course is one program of China's contributions to developing countries. It is organized by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by South China Agricultural University. Office of International Relations takes charge of the preparatory affairs of this program and administers the training class. The teaching staff comes from college of natural resources and environment, college of agriculture and college of animal sciences. This training course starts on November 17 and adopts a teaching system, which combine lectures, experiments with visit of practice bases together. All the training courses designed are taught in English.
