Yang Zhou
Yang Zhou, born in 1972 , joined the CPC in 1993 and began his first job in 2001. He is a professor and doctoral supervisor. Yang is currently a member of the CPC SCAU Committee and one of the Vice Presidents of SCAU.
Yang obtained a Doctor of Engineering degree in SCAU in June 2001. In July 2001, he stayed in SCAU and became a faculty member. He was promoted to professor in 2007 and doctoral supervisor in 2008.From March 2009 to March 2010, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. From January 2011, he became the president of the College of Engineering and then the vice president of SCAUfrom April 2017.
Yang mainly engages in teaching, research and themanagement of Agricultural Mechanization Engineering. He is the chief expert of the innovation team for Agricultural Intelligent Equipment and Whole Process Mechanization Common Key Technology of Guangdong Province and the leader of the innovation team for Fruit Production Equipment under the Ministry of Agriculture.
Yang’smajor academic jobs: Deputy Director of Teaching Steering Committee of Agricultural Engineering specialty under the Ministry of Education, Directorof the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering and Directorof the Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery, and so on.
Yang is currently responsible for theinternational affairs, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan affairs, continuing education, teaching and research base, etc. He is in charge of the Office of International Relations (Office for Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan Affairs), the College of International Education, the College of Continuing Education, and the Experiment Station (Agriculture Training Center). He is also responsible for the contact withthe College of Natural Resources and Environment and the College of Economics and Management.
